Alongside the regular production option WS6 models stand the 30th Anniversary Trans Am models awaiting return shipment to the GM plant, where they will in turn be delivered to anxiously awaiting customers. Personally, I was impatiently awaiting the delivery of my own 1998 WS6 Trans Am, so I can only imagine what it's like to sit and wait for one of these to show up at one's dealer.
Having stared many many times at the pictures I had taken at the ASC facility when watching the conversion process on my own WS6 Trans Am last summer, I have to admit it was kind of a shock to walk into the shop area and gaze at a sea of WHITE hoods with BLUE stripes instead of the wildly popular black hoods. One thing was VERY familiar, though: the rumble of the LS1 as they fired up upon completion of the conversion job.
Unfortunately, I only realized after developing the photos that most of the pictures I took were of cars with the hoods unlatched. Oh well, it's the best you can expect from someone who was severely under the influence of an external drug - the roar of a V8 exhaust!
